South Shore Accent Cabinet in Pale Yellow - Stylish Storage Solution for Living Room, Bedroom & Entryway

Really appreciate the delicate pale yellow color. It’s different than the norm, total retro vibes. Goes great with plants, boho and pinks. Very unique. I built it in about an hour, with kids running crazy, by myself. It wasn’t bad at all. I’ve built many lockers however so I had a pretty good idea of how it works. But anyone could do it. The main parts were all labeled with stickers and the instructions were pretty easy to follow with minor issues. Pretty straight forward. Separate your parts and double check that you have all the required hardware per the directions booklet before you start, to make sure it’s all there. The directions do not explain what to do with the magnets for the door but that’s pretty self explanatory. The little rubber caps are for covering the sharp ends of the screws that are exposed inside- also not explained, again self explanatory. Beside that, it’s pretty basic. Make sure the little holes on the frame for the door are pointing out, not in. Also don’t tighten the main screws super tight until you have the main pieces together and correctly aligned because it’s sheet metal and it will shift, as with any type of sheet metal furniture get it straight first. Not tightening it all the way at first will make it easier if you need to make adjustments. The screws are a tight fit when you first turn them but that’s normal in my experience, after you get passed that, it’s fine. The steel hyllis shelves from IKEA were the same way with screws. Just use your strong hand lol! Anyway, it’s great, price wasn’t bad and what a hip cabinet! Good quality. I’d recommend. Blows any particle board furniture out the water. Pretty confident it will last, seems pretty durable. Also the magnets on the door are really strong. That’s a nice feature that makes up for it not having a lock. The extra pieces are for anchoring the cabinet to the wall, also two extra assembly screws just in case you accidentally strip one and need it for backup. Good luck!I was nervous to purchase this because of all of the other reviews that stated how horrible the installation instructions were but I’m glad I did! I thought it was fairly easy to put together and took me about an hour or so. I love the color and it as exactly what I was looking for to add some extra storage in my kitchen. I plan on buying another to put right next to this one!The other reviews saying 'the directions are horrible' are not telling the truth. They aren't just horrible, they are completely wrong. The pictures tell you to do things that are physically impossible or don't make sense (see the attached pic). There are missing instructions for some of the parts. We got several extra pieces that just go in the garbage I guess? We even got screws that weren't long enough for the handle and we had to find our own. And like the other review said, all of the screws are terrible and are impossible to thread straight.If your product can't be assembled without the customer needing to go to a store in order to get the required parts for your product to work. You messed up. This is one of the worst products I have ever bought on Amazon (good thing we bought 4 of them!) If they were incredible quality I could get over it. But they aren't. They are cheap thin metal.The cabinet is really cute but the directions are THE WORST. The screws they send with it don't really work, had to use power tools because they were impossible to thread by hand. It appears that it will work for the purpose I purchased it for but will not buy another.None of the hardware makes sense for this cabinet. There are random holes all over the pieces, screws that lead to/attach nothing, and shelves that cause the doors to not be able to close. This item is so poorly made, I'm throwing it away immediately. And this is coming from someone who has assembled pretty much everything in their house-- i've never attempted to put together something that made so little sense.I love the cabinet, but the screws don't fit and send the instructions aren't the best! Absolutely non of the screws work it's like they just throw a whole bunch of screws in a bag and said they'll figure it out smh. So I'm sending it back asap not in the mood to try and figure it out.The cabinet is very nice. Didn't scratch despite taking it apart multiple times. Very sturdy even without anchor to the wall. Only gave it 4 stars because the instructions were the worst I've ever seen (and I put IKEA cabinets in my huge kitchen and built them all by myself.) It's a shame because with proper instructions and the right screws it would have been easy peasy. Nothing is marked. The pictures are vague. The screws are the wrong size so I had to use a 90 degree screw driver/electric screwdriver was almost useless. Only advice is good luck and pay very close attention to the pictures and the steps to come. If there are no holes-- you got it wrong. Look at the holes and the angles in the picture. Ps. This is the 1st white metal cabinet that was a true white/no gray tint.Good quality for the price. I had some “extra” hardware because the instructions don’t clearly indicate where or how they are used and there may be missing pilot holes. But it’s holding together and seems sturdy enough for my needs. It will be used for lightweight storage and looks cute and modern.très bien emballé ...aucune égratignure sur le meuble en métal..facile à monter..je le recommande...
